The aim of the Polish Society of Microbiologists is to promote the development of microbiological sciences and to popularize the achievements of microbiology among the members of the Society and wide circles of society. The forms of activity include organizing conventions, scientific meetings, courses, lectures and readings as well as competitions of scientific papers; publishing and promoting publication of scientific journals, books and other publications in the field of microbiology; giving opinions on the state and needs of Polish microbiology and acting on its matters before state authorities; cooperation with related associations in the country and abroad.
